L.A. Luxury: A Review of Hotel 850 SVB
As a travel enthusiast, I've had the privilege of staying in some pretty cool hotels around the world, and I count Hotel 850 SVB amongst the coolest of the cool. From the moment Todd and I stepped into the lobby, I knew that this was going to be on our shortlist of favorite hotels.
Located in the heart of West Hollywood, Hotel 850 SVB is a luxury 4-Star boutique hotel that offers an intimate and exclusive experience for its guests. The hotel is situated in a prime location, just minutes away from Sunset Boulevard, Santa Monica Boulevard, shopping centers, and entertainment venues. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly staff (Huzzah, Winston!) who made us feel right at home. The complimentary glass of red wine at check-in really set the tone for our long weekend, and the hotel's sophisticated design is complemented by exquisite artwork and décor, making for a truly luxurious atmosphere. Honestly, this property feels more like a European hotel than anything we’ve experienced in the United States.

Location and Amenities of Hotel 850 SVB
One of the standout features of Hotel 850 SVB is its location. Situated between Santa Monica Boulevard to the south and Sunset Boulevard to the north, the hotel’s location allows its guests the ability to explore the area on foot. The hotel offers easy access to some of the area's best shops and restaurants. But despite its prime location, the hotel is tucked away in a quiet residential area, offering guests the perfect balance of convenience and serenity.
The amenities at Hotel 850 SVB are just as impressive as its location. The hotel offers a cozy reception area with cushy seating, a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the Los Angeles skyline, and a living room and terrace on the second floor with an honor bar and espresso machine. A continental breakfast featuring gorgeous pastries, fruit, and yogurt was included with the price of our room. The hotel also offers complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property, making it easy to stay connected during your stay. If you like to explore by bike, the hotel offers complimentary bicycles too!

Room Types and Features at Hotel 850 SVB
Hotel 850 SVB offers a variety of room types to suit every guest's needs. From cozy standard rooms to spacious suites, each room is designed with the utmost attention to detail. We stayed in a Grand room, which was beautifully appointed with decorator furnishings, luxurious linens, a fireplace, and a balcony where we enjoyed our wine and coffee. The room also featured a 55-inch flat-screen TV, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a fully stocked minibar. The bathroom featured a double-sized shower and proprietary shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. (They should really sell those because I would have bought them all!)

But what really set Hotel 850 SVB apart were the little touches. From the complimentary snacks and water bottles to the plush bathrobes and slippers, every detail was thoughtfully considered to make my stay as comfortable as possible.
