Traversing Switzerland by train

Traversing Switzerland by train

Wanderlust. It's an obsession that I've had since the age of eight. My young mind was filled with the exotic lands and lush landscapes that I read about in the stacks of books strewn about my bedroom. I knew that there would come a day when I would visit the world beyond the Alabama towns in which I lived. Wanderlust. When it hits, it hits hard.

At age seventeen, I picked up my stepfather's Asahi Pentax Spotmatic. For the first time in my life, I had a vehicle for translating the world according to my eyes. Natural light, architecture, landscapes, and the quirkiness of downtown Montgomery, Alabama, all became food for my imagination. I now had an additional passion to join my wanderlust!

I started my exploration of the world at age sixteen on a visit to Montreal and Quebec. At age seventeen, I bought a Eurail pass and traversed across Europe. Since those first days of my travels, I've visited thirteen countries with most of my traveling time spent in western Europe. Each city, whether foreign or domestic, offers a feast for my eyes. From major cities to small towns, I see the beauty and feel the flavor of each setting and strive to capture the essence of my surroundings.

I use a Nikon D90 to capture my images. Occasionally, I use my trusty iPhone 6 when my D90 isn't with me. Lightroom is my primary editing software, and natural light is the only way to go!

My images are available for private collections, businesses, and for web/print publications. I look forward to sharing the beauty of our world with you!
